Pixar Pier is now open at Disney Calfornia Adventure! Paradise Pier as we knew it has changed and it is spectacular! In this reimagined land, Pixar stories and characters come to life through the attractions, Pixar-inspired food and four whimsical Pixar-themed “neighborhoods.”
Pixar Pier Attractions
Incredicoaster
The first themed neighborhood in Pixar Pier is Incredibles Park. Inspired by the popular Incredibles film franchise, this area is home to the Incredicoaster. The Incredicoaster takes guests on a super adventure with the Parr family to chase after the baby Jack-Jack. Incredicoaster is the fastest attraction at the Disneyland Resort and the new music, lighting, special effects, character figures and rethemed vehicles make it the ultimate roller coaster for enthusiasts.
Toy Story Mania!
Adjacent to Incredibles Park is Toy Story Boardwalk and home to Toy Story Mania! –the popular 4D carnival game attraction beloved by guests of all ages.
Pixar Pal-A-Round
Next to Toy Story Boardwalk is Pixar Promenade–an area that celebrates a number of Pixar favorites. Mickey’s Fun Wheel has been transformed to the Pixar Pal-A-Round with 24 freshly-decorated gondolas – each featuring a Pixar pal.
Pixar Pier Food
Lamplight Lounge
The new “it” restaurant at the Disneyland Resort is Lamplight Lounge. It is an elegant yet fun gathering place for the entire family near the entrance of Pixar Pier. The menu includes California casual gastro-pub cuisine and unique signature cocktails. The lounge features a full bar, picturesque waterfront views of Paradise Bay from both upstairs and downstairs and celebrates the creativity, inspiration, and personalities of the artists and storytellers who have brought Pixar stories to life.
Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats
Now you can grab soft-serve cones and parfaits from their quick-serve restaurant inspired by the lovable and not-at-all-abominable monster from “Monsters, Inc”.
Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums
In Incredibles Park guests can grab an amazing treat from Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums.
Poultry Palace
Designed to look like the oversized meal box and juice box featured in the Pixar short, “Toy Story Toon: Small Fry,” Poultry Palace, offers turkey legs and chicken drumsticks.
Angry Dogs
While at Pixar Promenade, guests can grab a hot dog from the quick-serve restaurant inspired by Anger from “Inside Out.”
Señor Buzz Churros
It’s all about the quintessential Disneyland Resort favorite treat at Señor Buzz Churros! If you are a fan of Red Hots and cinnamon candy, the Caliente Churro is a MUST!
Pixar Pier Fun
Games of Pixar Pier
Hurray! The games aren’t gone! The new games booths invite guests to test their skills for chances to win colorful prizes and include La Luna Star Catcher, Heimlich’s Candy Corn Toss, WALL•E Space Race and Bullseye Stallion Stampede. Games cost $4-5 each and, like before, you will need to put money on a rechargeable game card to play. The La Luna Star Catcher is an “everyone wins” game like the old Goofy fishing game. It costs $4.
More to Come to Pixar Pier
Jessie’s Critter Carousel
Guests can get ready to saddle up on Jessie’s Critter Carousel, coming in 2019.
Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff
Scheduled to open in late summer 2018 in Pixar Promenade, Bing Bon’s Sweet Stuff will offer sweet treats like saltwater taffy and rainbow cotton candy.
Inside Out Headquarters
Just past Pixar Promenade, Inside Out Headquarters will open in 2019. It is inspired by the emotions of “Inside Out” and looks VERY similar to Flik’s Flyers, which will be closing at the end of this summer season. We are so happy to see a family attraction being added to this area, as the loss of so many rides for little ones in “a bug’s land” will be tough for families with toddlers and preschoolers.
What about the rest of Paradise Pier?
The remaining areas of the original Paradise Pier – including Paradise Gardens, Silly Symphony Swings, Jumping Jellyfish, Goofy’s Sky School, Golden Zephyr and The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure – have become a new land called Paradise Gardens Park!
Stay tuned for most posts about Pixar Pier, Pixar Fest and Paradise Gardens Park very, very soon!
