Don’t get stuck paying ATM fees while at the Disneyland Resort. If you need to get cash to spend at Disneyland for popcorn, balloons, etc., simply stop by City Hall (located on the west side of Main Street) or the Chamber of Commerce at Disney California Adventure (on the east side of Buena Vista Street near Oswald’s) to purchase Disney Dollars with a credit card or check card. Disney Dollars are bills that come in ones, fives, and tens and can be used as cash (the same dollar for dollar exchange) at the Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World. Disney Dollars are also available at the ticket booths and some stores at the resort, include World of Disney in Downtown Disney.
At the end of your visit, you can cash in any unused dollars for regular cash or save a few for souvenirs. Disney Dollars are also great to give kids who want to spend, spend, spend at Disneyland. Give your child a Disney Dollar budget and once they are gone, they are gone!

This sounds like a great idea! Do all the shops and dining (including food carts) accept the Disney gift cards and Disney dollars?
Lisa Robertson says
Hi Nicole! Disney Dollars are taken everywhere at the Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, WDW, and Disney Stores.

I love using Disney Dollars, helps me stay on budget (along with Disney Gift Cards). I am sad that they don’t sell them at the Disney Stores anymore. We also use these for stocking stuffers for the kids.
