Welcome to the second installment of the Disneyland Paris series! This week, I’ll be discussing how you can plan for a Disneyland Paris Resort trip of your very own. As an Annual Passholder and Disneyland regular, it’s rather exciting to plan a brand new adventure at a Disney Park in a foreign country. I used a lot of online resources and read many Disney blogs (just like this one!) to give me some insight on what to expect and I discovered a few tips and tricks for planning my trip, which made this Disney experience all the more memorable! ...

“Spring at the Castle” by Steve Adams. Image courtesyof the Disneyland Resort. With all the talk about the debut of the New Fantasyland at Walt Disney World in Florida, those of us out here in California might be feeling a bit left out of the excitement. But this Saturday, guests can immerse themselves in the magic of Fantasyland here at the Disneyland Resort with a product release and signing event. “A View From Never Land” by Jim Crouch. The Secret of the Wings is the newest movie in the Disney Fairies franchise. This straight-to-DVD feature stars Tinker Bell and the fairy friends we’ve come to know and love—Fawn, Iridessa, Rosetta, Silvermist and Vidia—as well as a new fairy, Periwinkle.
Being a mom of three boys, you would think that this movie wouldn’t be a favorite in our household, but think again. My boys secretly LOVE the Fairy movies. In fact, as soon as we got this movie they watched it two times in a row…in total and complete silence.
In the movie follows Tinker Bell and the other warm...
I love video games. I have always loved video games. Though there are some pretty awesome and creative games available right now, I miss having to blow the dust off the Sonic the Hedgehog game cartridge so my Sega Genesis could read it. It seemed like video games of yesterday were continuing to fade into the shadow of newer games, and I found myself missing the pixelation and glitches that I grew to love — and then Ralph came along. Old school video games are a key component of Wreck-It Ralph, which hits theaters tomorrow. The animated film tells of...
The Babes In Disneyland Halloween Parade is back for the second year and I am so happy to have received so many fabulous photos. I’m also thankful that the good folks at Disney have purchased Lucas Films making it all the much easier to include Star Wars-inspired costumes under the Disney umbrella. This year, the parade is marching on in two parts! If you sent me a photo and it’s not here, it will definitely be in tomorrow’s post, so stay tuned! Without further ado…strike up the band because it’s time for the parade! This year, our family went...
Planning a “small world” Party + giveaway
in All Posts, birthday parties, disney at home, giveaways, Jessica
Since my daughter’s room is “it’s a small world” themed (read more about it by clicking here), and her favorite ride at Disneyland is “it’s a small world” (yes, at 9 months she cried when we got out of the boat), I thought it would be fun to throw Carolina a themed first birthday party along the same lines! But, as a full-time teacher, mom of two, and someone who was packing their home to move, I needed it to be less time intensive, yet still cute and creative! I know there are many parents who can relate! Cue my...

Tuesday was an exciting day for Disney and George Lucas fans everywhere, as it was announced that the Walt Disney Company would purchase Lucasfilm Ltd. for $4.05 billion. Under the deal, Disney acquired ownership of Lucasfilm, including the massively popular “Star Wars” franchise and its operating businesses in live action film production, consumer products, animation, visual effects, and audio post production. “Lucasfilm reflects the extraordinary passion, vision, and storytelling of its founder, George Lucas,” said Robert A. Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Walt Disney Company. “This transaction combines a world-class portfolio of content including ‘Star Wars,’...
Halloween at Disneyland Paris: A Photo Round-Up
October 30, 2012 in All Posts, disneyland paris, halloween, photography, vy
Halloween at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim is one of my favorite times of the year. The festive decorations, the seasonal foods, and the giant pumpkin in the middle of Main Street are just some of the few highlights that Disneyland has to offer to get you into the Halloween spirit. I’ve always been curious how some of the other parks celebrated, as noted in my Hong Kong Disneyland post, when I visited during their Halloween celebration. Luckily, I got the opportunity to check out the decorations at Disneyland Paris during my recent trip to France – and they...
My boys love costumes and are known to dress up year-round. While costumes can be loads of fun, they can be expensive and can‘t be worn 24/7, as is often what my kids really want to do. Yesterday while at the Disney Store, my husband pointed out all of these great pajamas. Each set sells for $19.50, which is a little on the pricey side for pajamas, but not quite so bad when you consider that they can also be used as costumes! In particular, we think the Spider Man and Hulk jammies make perfect costumes and can easily...
