Since my daughter’s room is “it’s a small world” themed (read more about it by clicking here), and her favorite ride at Disneyland is “it’s a small world” (yes, at 9 months she cried when we got out of the boat), I thought it would be fun to throw Carolina a themed first birthday party along the same lines! But, as a full-time teacher, mom of two, and someone who was packing their home to move, I needed it to be less time intensive, yet still cute and creative! I know there are many parents who can relate!
Cue my sister-in-law, Jeran, the queen of parties, decorating, cooking, and generally everything. I asked her to do a little long-distance planning for me. Although our babies were born 3 days apart, and she was in the midst of planning her daughter Olivia’s party as well, she took the very few ideas I gave her and did much more with it than I could ask or hope for.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the party comes together from my end of things, and looking forward to a very memorable first birthday for my baby girl! Check here and here to see more amazing Disney parties and planning.
