My boys love costumes and are known to dress up year-round. While costumes can be loads of fun, they can be expensive and can‘t be worn 24/7, as is often what my kids really want to do.
Yesterday while at the Disney Store, my husband pointed out all of these great pajamas. Each set sells for $19.50, which is a little on the pricey side for pajamas, but not quite so bad when you consider that they can also be used as costumes! In particular, we think the Spider Man and Hulk jammies make perfect costumes and can easily be paired with a mask. (Of course with Hulk, I would recommend adding a little padding.)
My kids always beg to wear their costumes to bed, but I never allow it, as costumes do not meet the same stringent fire-safety requirements as pajamas. These fabulous PJs allow the kids to wear their costume to bed, which makes both kids and parents happy. And best of all, Disney Store pajamas last FOREVER. I have three boys and my third son is still wearing some of the PJs my oldest son wore.
And if doing double duty with PJs as a costume isn’t your style, many Disney Stores still have costumes available. My boys have worn Mickey Mouse, Buzz Lightyear, Dumbo, Woody, Captain Hook, Jake and Crush costumes from the Disney Store. They have held up to being worn year-round on numerous trips to Disneyland by all of my boys and they have plenty of life left in them. (My son Connor to the left is wearing the same Mickey costume my oldest son is wearing in the upper left of the Babes’ masthead more than five years ago.) Disney Store’s are much better than anything you’ll get from a costume shop and many of them can be purchased on the Disney Store’s website even when it isn’t Halloween.
