There’s nothing like a professional baseball game–the crack of the bat, the smell of hot dogs and peanuts, the familiar sounds of an organ playing classics from the past… and a pirate invasion. Ok, maybe “invasion” isn’t the right word, but last Saturday was Disney Junior day at Dodger Stadium and fans of all ages were able to see three of today’s most popular pirates Sharky, Bones, and Jake from Jake and the Never Land Pirates. We chose this very game to be our boys’ first professional baseball experience because I seriously have a thing for mixing a wee bit of Disney into everything we do.
Prior to the game, Sharky and Bones signed autographs for their fans down in the Dodgers’ Autograph Alley.
At game time, Sharky and Bones threw out the first pitch. My boys were so excited to see them out on the field.
From that point on the game was a mixture of hot dogs, frozen lemonade, soda, trips to the bathroom, more soda, and the 100+ degree heat. We had a wonderful time at the game and love that Disney was part of my boys’ first “real” baseball game.
Don’t forget that your family will be able to pick up the Jake and the Never Land Pirates DVD and CD on September 20!
