The Disney classic 101 Dalmatians is now out on digital HD, Blu-ray™ Combo Pack, Disney Movies Anywhere and On-Demand. 

For years, my husband has been asking when we will be able to get “101 Dalmatians” on DVD. It seems like every time we turn on the Disney Channel the live action version is on–and while it is good, it doesn’t hold a candle to the original. Finally, it is out on DVD and our family couldn’t be happier.

If you are like us and it has been a while since you’ve seen “101 Dalmatians,” trust me when I tell you it’s just as good as you recall from years gone by. In fact, it was even better than we remembered. If you have never seen the animated version of 101 Dalmatians, it is a story that is told from the dogs’ point of view–and starts with voiceover from Pongo talking about his pet (human) and his desire to find him a suitable mate. When he spies beautiful Perdita on a walk with her human, he swings into action making sure the two meet, and as they say… the rest is history. Well, it’s history until Cruella De Vil steals Pongo and Perdita’s 15 puppies and gets her hands on 99 other puppies with the goal of turning them into fur coats. The pets of England band together to reunite Pongo and Perdita with their pups… and the other pups they have no idea about.

“101 Dalmatians” is one of my favorite movies of all time. There’s something about the adventure and the love Pongo and Perdita have for there pups that gets me every time. If you are a Disney fan/collector like us, this is a DVD you need to add to your collection.
