Last week, Karlos Siqueiros, manager of concept development for Food Operations, told me the “story” behind Paradise Pier’s new restaurant complex and I’m happy to share it with you.
Back in the 1930s, a family came to the beach side Paradise Pier and opened a Mediteranean restaurant serving their native meat and veggie skewers. The business took off and the family opened a second business, Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta.
As time passed, both restaurants flourished and the family decided to open a ride next to their restaurants–Goofy’s Sky School.
As you meander through Paradise Pier, keep a keen eye out for the European influences of this land’s founding family. From the Cast Member’s costumes to the live music in the Paradise Pier dining area have a European flair. Even the snack area, Bayside Brews, serves a favorite German pairing–beer and pretzels.
