New Year’s Eve with my kids typically includes our annual “breakfast for dinner feast” followed by convincing them they have stayed up until midnight to watch the ball drop in New York even though it is really only 9p.m. and we are watching the feed live.
The Discovery Cubes in Los Angeles and Orange County are celebrating New Year’s Eve early… really early, thereby making it so parents like me don’t have to stretch the truth when it comes to a family celebration. The Cubes’ Noon Year’s Eve parties on December 30 and 31 are just what mom and dad ordered when it comes to a fun way to ring in the new year with little ones. Children can come dressed as their favorite superhero and ring in 2016 with a countdown, hats and horns, a balloon drop, and a ginger ale toast. Special activities part of Cube admission include:
- A countdown and balloon drop at noon and 2:00PM
- Complimentary hats and horns to take home
- Super-dance party
- Make your own superhero mask and shield to take home
While at the Discovery Cubes, families can take in fantastic (and educational) exhibits that focus on teaching children early STEM concepts and the importance of healthy living and conservation. With exhibits changing frequently throughout the year, an annual pass to the Cubes is a great way to continue the learning and fun throughout the year and enjoy activities like Noon Year’s Eve, as well as member-only events and special discounts at the Cubes on food and merchandise. You can even enter to win an annual pass below!
