Much to our surprise, Disneyland annual passport prices went up this morning. The Disneyland ticketing site went down and the internet lit up. Usually there are quiet grumblings before prices go up, but this one caught us off guard.
Because many of our readers are annual pass holders, I wanted to get this information up on the web as soon as possible. I will post about other ticket media as soon as I can.
Southern California Select: $329 (up $30). Blockout dates apply to this pass. Passholders can get 10% off Resort dining and merchandise in the parks, in on-property hotels and at Disney-owned stores in Downtown Disney. (Discounts guaranteed through December 31, 2015.) Parking may be added for $199 for renewals only.
Southern California Annual Pass: $439 (up $50). This pass is still only available for renewing passholders.
Deluxe: $599 (up $50). You may add parking to this pass for $199 for renewals only.
Premium annual passes are NO LONGER AVAILABLE. They have been replaced with two Signature Annual Passports. Both of these passes include parking and Digital PhotoPass Plus. This means that at each PhotoPass location, Signature Annual Passholders can present their annual pass to be scanned as a PhotoPass card and get digital downloads of all of their PhotoPass photos linked to their PhotoPass account (until they expire from the account). Signature Passholders can get 15% off Resort dining and 20% off on merchandise in the parks, in on-property hotels and at Disney-owned stores in Downtown Disney. (Discounts guaranteed through December 31, 2015.) Please note that if you currently have a Premium Annual Passport, your pass and its benefits will stay until your pass expires.
Signature Annual Passport: $849 (up $70 when compared to the Premium Annual Passports). This pass is blocked out the last two weeks of the year (the two most crowded weeks of the year). I know the idea of Disneyland at Christmas sounds nice, but it is seriously miserable! If you do the monthly payment plan, this pass works out to less than $10 a month more.
Signature Plus Annual Passport: $1,049 (up $270 when compared to the Premium Annual Passports). This pass has no block out dates.
Well, instead of commentary on this issue, I think I’ll head to bed. It’s almost 2 a.m. and my kids will be awake before too long! One important I will say is:
Please be nice to Cast Members at the Disneyland Resort. Remember that they are not responsible for the annual passport price increase and taking your anger out on them will not change the situation and just make their day miserable.
Don’t go away from this post sad! At least Disney did recently announce the extension of the Diamond Celebration, as well as Season of the Force that starts on November!

You lost us as a family of 3 with you last price hike and with this one you lost us again… Walt would is rolling in his grave. He would never do this to families

Hate to see the annual passes going up… But as someone who only gets to Disneyland every few years… I suppose I would rather see the annual passes go up rather than everyday admission. However I may change my mind if I ever become a pass holder.
