Merchandise Monday: Pin Trading News!

July 23, 2012 in All Posts, disneyland resort, merchandise, pin trading, shopping tips by Courtney Bautista

Here are two new pin designs commemorating the
grand reopening of Disney California Adventure.

When you head to the Disneyland Resort this summer to check out Cars Land and Buena Vista Street, be sure to pop by Disneyland’s Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree in Frontierland, where some exciting pin trading activities have been introduced! Seasoned pin traders and also guests who are new to the trading experience will all enjoy this fresh new way to pin trade.

Come Out and Trade:This takes place every day from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree in Frontierland. Guests are welcome to trade with friends, family, fellow guests and Cast Members.

Hidden Mickey pins are up for grabs in Frontierland!

Panning for Gold:Guests have the opportunity to pan for specially marked “treasure” that often include artist proof, production proof, Hidden Mickey (Cast Lanyard) pins or other Disney pins. Something always “pans” out!

Fishing for Pins:Guests participate in a fishing-type expedition. Once players catch a “fish,” its color designates a particular area they may trade from on a themed wagon wheel.

Tic Tac Toe:Guests who participate in this Disney pin version of the well-known game will also be able to trade a pin with Cast Members.

As stated above, Come Out and Trade is scheduled from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. daily, but the other events take place throughout the day during regular park hours in addition to that time frame. These activities are all included with park admission and will continue throughout the summer. Make sure to also stop by Westward Ho Trading Co. in Frontierland to see the latest Disney pins and pin accessories or scope out even more Cast Member lanyard pins you may want to add to your collection!
