If you’re visiting the Orange County area and need a dose of Disney magic (without making a stop at Disneyland), make sure to add a visit to Bowers Museum on your list! Beginning March 7, 2020 through August 20, 2020, a new Walt Disney Archives exhibit will be featured at this popular Santa Ana museum.
The exhibit is called “Inside the Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserving the Magic” is a 10,000 square foot traveling exhibit that originally debuted at the D23 Expo Japan in 2018 and features many rare items that are on loan exclusively to Bowers Museum.
There will be more than 400 items on display from the Walt Disney Archives, as well as a slew of exhibition-related events hosted at Bowers Museum – from a lecture by author and Oscar-nominated filmmaker Don Hahn to an exquisite dinner honoring Walt Disney with author Marcy Carriker Smothers, who wrote the book Eat Like Walt.
