Bienvenue to the 3rd installment of our Disneyland Paris series! Today, I’ll be discussing the different transportation options at the Disneyland Paris Resort, and show you an in-depth look at the Hotel Sante Fe, the budget hotel option at Disneyland Paris. There are many options to choose from when you are traveling to Disneyland Paris. You can either choose to visit as a day trip from Paris, or you can spend several days on property for a full vacation.
Visiting for the day
If you are merely visiting the Disneyland Paris Resort for the day from Paris, you can take the RER A train to the Marne-La-Vallee stop, as I mentioned in my previous post. Once you arrive, the entrances to Disney Village, Walt Disney Studios, and Disneyland Paris are a quick 5 minute walk from the station – similar to the accessibility we have at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim.
Staying On Property at Disneyland Paris
From the Marne-La-Vallee train station and the Park entrances, there are different ways to access the Disney hotels on property. Dependent on the price, there are 7 Disney hotels on property that are either within walking distance from the Parks’ entrances or are a short shuttle ride.

The Disney hotel properties include:
- The Disneyland Hotel
- Disney’s Hotel New York
- Disney’s Newport Bay Club
- Disney’s Sequoia Lodge
- Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne
- Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe
Several shuttle stations are lined up with other bus drop-off points off to the side of the station, with yellow shuttle buses indicating which hotel they are traveling to from the marquee. Guests can line up at the shuttle bus stops, which arrive in 15-20 minute intervals and take guests to their hotels.
Traveling between the Disney Parks and Disney Village
While getting to and from some of the hotels may require a shuttle ride, the Disney Parks and Disney Village are within walking distance of each other. Guests can easily do a Park Hopper and visit the Walt Disney Studios, pop out to the Disney Village for a bite to eat, and then visit Disneyland Paris afterward – without ever jumping into a vehicle. There is no Monorail available at Disneyland Paris – so there is no transport that will take you between the parks other than walking.
Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe
During my stay at the Disneyland Paris Resort, my fiancé and I opted for Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe. Originally themed after Route 66 and the west, the property is now undergoing renovation to heavily include Radiator Springs and the Cars characters in its theming. What once featured a giant poster of Clint Eastwood has now been replaced with Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater greeting guests from the neon signage. Though the lobby area still is reminiscent of its original theming, any Cars or Cars 2 fan will get a kick out of the newly revamped guest rooms available at the Hotel Santa Fe. Check out some photos!

Getting to the Resort from the Hotels
The longest it would take someone to walk from their Disney property hotel to the Main Entrance would probably be around 20-25 minutes. Guests can also catch a yellow shuttle bus back to the drop-off point at Marne-La-Vallee station and decide which part of the Disneyland Paris Resort they would like to see next!
Returning to the Airport
When you are ready to depart the Disneyland Paris Resort, you can arrange to take a white airport van back to Charles de Gaulle Airport – the front desk of your hotel can arrange this for you. However, the white airport vans can take anywhere up to an hour to get you to the airport because the van may have to stop and pick up more passengers. If you don’t mind carrying your luggage on the shuttle bus and back to the train station, take my advice: pay for the TGV ticket to get to the airport in France – it is only a 10 minute ride and well worth it!
That wraps it up about transportation and accommodation on the Disneyland Paris Resort. Stay tuned next Tuesday, November 20, as I explore Disney Village – Paris’s answer to Downtown Disney! See you then!
