From September 7 through November 2, The Disneyland Resort will welcome the festive spirit and celebration of Dia De Los Muertos, inspired by the Disney*Pixar film “Coco”, to both parks.
Over at Disney California Adventure, the Plaza de La Familia will return once again to the Paradise Gardens, where families can share meaningful memories of loved ones at the interactive Memory Wall, enjoy the Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) photo location, and take part in a new mask-making craft. Guests can also explore the immersive art exhibit, The World of “Coco,” and enjoy delicious Mexican food at Paradise Garden Grill while enjoying the sounds of mariachi music at the bandstand.
Several times a day, A Musical Celebration of Coco brings together the Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia and the Grammy-award winning Mariachi Divas for a festive show of music and dance depicts Miguel’s journey as seen in “Coco.” This year, be on the lookout for singers and authentic Folklórico dancers as well as Miguel, brought to life in a whimsical, hand-crafted style inspired by traditional Mexican folk art.
Over at Disneyland, Zócalo Park in Frontierland is transformed once again with an elaborate display in honor of Día de los Muertos. Don’t forget to enjoy the delicious food at the nearby Rancho del Zócalo.
