Today I am happy to review the pediped shoes.  Comfort is key during those long days of walking around Disneyland and pediped shoes deliver!  The pediped company was founded in 2004 by Angela and Brian Edgeworth in their quest for the perfect soft-soled shoe for their first daughter. Their commitment to quality and comfort has been recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association, Harvard Medical School, and Children’s Hospital Boston.  The shoes are sold in over 3,000 stores in the U.S. in more than 120 designs for boys and girls between their three lines: Originals (soft-soled shoes for newborns to age...

Disney Junior Premiering on Disney Channel February 14 + What will become of Playhouse Disney Live on Stage

February 4, 2011 in All Posts, babies & toddlers, Big Kids, disney california adventure, disney junior, disneyland resort, entertainment
On February 14, Playhouse Disney on the Disney Channel will be making some pretty cool new changes and becoming Disney Junior.  While the name change is obvious, what you may not know is that along with the name change comes a new, stronger focus on delivering educational programming aimed at children ages 2 to 7 years.  Disney Junior’s animated and live action programming will continue in the tradition of Disney’s unparalleled storytelling and beloved characters while incorporating early math concepts and language skills, lesson on healthy eating and lifestyle choices, and social and emotional development. Now don’t worry, moms...

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie’s Masquerade Review and Giveaway

February 3, 2011 in All Posts, babies & toddlers, Big Kids, Disney entertainment, review
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a staple in our house.  I have had no less than 20 at a time stored on our DVR for the last four years.  I love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for a lot of reasons.  As a former teacher, I love the fact that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse exposes children to early math concepts and problem solving.  As a mom, I love that my kids always answer out loud when Mickey asks, “Do you wanna come inside my clubhouse?”.  I love that my boys are growing up the classic characters and learning from them at the...

Terrific Tip Tuesday: My favorite cocktail at the Grand Californian

February 1, 2011 in All Posts, dining, disneyland resort, grand californian, restaurant tips, Tips & Tricks for Families
Before the Blue Sky Cellar / The Magic, The Memories, and You press event last week, my friend Marcy and I had a couple of drinks at the Hearthstone Bar at the Grand Californian.  I can honestly say I don’t even remember the last time I got to just sit and sip a cocktail with a friend.  It was fabulous and I couldn’t have selected a better drink.  I had the Raspberry Rain made with Rain Organics Red Grape Hibiscus vodka, Chambord, freshly muddled raspberries, lychee and fresh lemon juice.  The drink was incredibly delicious and refreshing and if...

Monday Must Have: Mutsy 4Rider Light Review + Mutsy Grow-Up! Booster Seat Giveaway

in All Posts, babies & toddlers, favorite products, review
Today I am happy to review the Mutsy 4Rider Light stroller.  Mutsy has been a well-known stroller company in Europe since 1935.  While styles have changed a bit in the last 76 years, one thing hasn’t–Mutsy’s commitment to well made strollers that provide comfort for both children and their parents. What makes the Mutsy 4Rider Light great? Mutsy’s unique, sleek, modern design appeals to parents in Europe and the U.S. and are owned by many famous celebrity families.  The 4Rider stroller line allows parents the ability to customize their baby’s ride with different seats, baskets, trays and more. ...

Artists concept drawing for Ariel’s Under Sea Adventure. According to last night’s update and press conference, Ariel’s Under Sea Adventure will be open “by the summer” and will be appropriate...

Terrific Tip Tuesday: My favorite SWEET take-home treats

in All Posts, disney at home, disneyland resort, merchandise
Just thinking about these treats makes my mouth water.  They are total indulgences and I adore them.  The Coconut Patties are pretty much the greatest “cookie” ever.  Maybe they are more of a candy…maybe they are just…awesome.  Basically they are like a Mounds candy bar…only shaped like Mickey…and amazing.  And then there’s the Confetti Popcorn.  Oh, Confetti Popcorn, how I love the way I love you and the way I fear all of the cavities you might give me.  Also known as World of Color popcorn, this delicious treat is loved my kids and parents alike.  Both of these...

Monday Must Have: Kokopax Samantha Diaper Tote Review & Giveaway

January 25, 2011 in All Posts, babies & toddlers, favorite products, review
Today I am happy to review the Samantha Kokopax tote bag for today’s Monday Must Have.  Kokopax is a young, fast growing company, created by a mom of four from Nevada.  On a trip to the Northwest, she came across some beautiful fabric patterns that inspired her to think of ways she could combine modern fabrics with the simple functionality of the older baby carriers. With that idea in mind, she embarked on a mission to develop a stylish, modern and lightweight framed infant carrier that could be used every day, everywhere.  With the success of the carriers (which...
