March 16, 2011 in All Posts, disneyland, disneyland resort, entertainment, entertainment tips, guest post, main street, Tips & Tricks for Families
Photo courtesy of Suz Broughtonat OC Family. Today’s Terrific Tip comes from my good friends over at the podcast “Tales from the Mouse House.” I learned the tip below and so much more by listening to their podcast. Held daily on Main Street U.S.A., the flag retreat ceremony is an emotionally inspiring event for all to see. Guests that are interested in participating in the event...

Disneyland Q & A: How can I see the Disneyland roundhouse?

March 7, 2011 in All Posts, CHOC, disneyland, disneyland resort, runDisney
Today’s question came to me on Twitter from Babes In Disneyland follower, Jeff R.   This is backstage behind Toontown at the CHOC Walk.I’m not big on ruining the magic with backstage photosso these are likely the only backstage photos I’llever post.  In this picture I’m with my friend, Marcy. Question: How can I see the Disneyland roundhouse?Answer:  For those not “in the know” when it comes to trains, a roundhouse is a circular building where trains are repaired and in the case of the Disneyland Resort, the roundhouse is the building where “the magic happens” for the historic Disneyland...

Stars Play Out Disney Park Fantasies with Annie Leibovitz, plus behind the scenes photos!

March 4, 2011 in All Posts, photography
Everyone loves making memories at Disney Parks, even celebrities.  Annie Leibovitz has captured these beautiful portraits at part of Disney’s Let the Memories Begin campain.  Disney has unveiled the portraits of Penelope Cruz as Belle and Jeff Bridges as the transformed prince from “Beauty and the Beast,” Queen Latifah as the villainous Ursula from “The Little Mermaid,” and Olivia Wilde as the Evil Queen and Alec Baldwin as the spirit in the magic mirror from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and I am proud to feature them here on Babes In Disneyland.  The four Disney Dream Portrait images are the latest...

Peter Pan and Me

March 3, 2011 in All Posts, Big Kids, boys
Ask any of my friends and they will tell  you that I am known for my love of Snow White.  I’ve been a huge fan of the movie and characters as long as I can remember.  In the last year, a new character has come into my life and stolen my heart. About a year ago, my three year old, Brandon, took a liking to Peter Pan.  I found it endearing that a child would fall in love with such a lovely, classic fairy tale and character.  Admittedly, I have indulged him in his new love; I made him...

Disneyland Q & A: Should I buy discounted Disneyland tickets from a ticket agency that reuses multi-day tickets?

March 2, 2011 in All Posts, discounts, disneyland resort, vacation planning
Welcome to Disneyland Q&A here on Babes In Disneyland.  The above question is one I get asked quite often and given an article in the Orlando Sentinel today, I thought I should address it here on the blog. Question:  Should I buy Disneyland tickets from one of those agencies who reuses mulit-day tickets? Answer:  There are a variety of companies who offer Disneyland admission tickets at a “discounted” rate.  They tout their business as legitimate, but they are not.  Their racket goes something like this: They purchase multi-day tickets and deliver them to guest the night before your visit....

10 Truths About Disneyland and Me

in All Posts, disneyland, disneyland resort
My relationship with Disneyland runs deep.  Really deep.  Here’s 10 things about me and Disneyland I cannot deny. 1.  I can pick out Disneyland French fries, hot or cold, in a blind taste test. 2.  I have crawled underneath and walked behind the scenes at the Haunted Mansion and experienced the ballroom scene from the other side.  It was AWESOME. 3.  I once got “trained” on Pirates of the Caribbean in anticipation of a ride operator strike.  We went to Alcapulco for drinks beforehand, so it’s a good thing the strike never happened. 4.  I once got paid overtime...
