(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Taking a teacup out for a spin

March 28, 2012 in All Posts, disneyland, fantasyland, photography

There’s something so simple and nostalgic about watching the park go by while sitting in a teacup. There’s one thing I don’t care for when it comes to the Mad Tea Party, and that’s the actual spinning part....

in All Posts, animation, fun facts
Today, D23 and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) made an announcement that will likely have Disney film fanatics weak in the knees. As part of the third annual TCM Classic Film Festival, D23 and TCM will present a 75th anniversary screening of Walt Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Disney’s first hand-drawn feature-length animated film and legendary actor Kirk Douglas will present the first general public screening of the newly restored (from original camera negatives) live-action adventure, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954). As a Snow White fan(atic), I am elated to know that there’s a shot at...

Located in Los Angeles’s Griffith Park, it is conveniently located right off the 5 freeway and close to many other popular So Cal tourist attractions. Walt’s Barn is the actual barn from his old backyard and is operated by the nonprofit Carolwood Foundation. On days it is open to the public, volunteer Barn Crew members are on hand to describe the history and contents,...
