Last month at a very special media event held at the Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, California, I had the pleasure and honor to get to participate in a mock ADR session in which I got to say the dialogue for Piglet in a scene of “Winnie the Pooh.”
When “Winnie the Pooh” producer, Peter del Vecho asked for volunteers, I was incredibly nervous, but my hand shot in the air as quick as I could get it up. I knew that nerves or not, this was a once in a life time opportunity to experience what voice actors do to bring our favorite Disney characters to life. Here’s a little video of how it went.
I am thrilled to have had this opportunity. I had a deep respect for voice actors, but now that I have done it myself, I respect them even more. It is hard work–especially when they are matching up the text with existing footage and not the other way around.
Be sure to check out all of my “Winnie the Pooh” articles this week!
Don’t forget that the new “Winnie the Pooh” movie opens this Friday, July 15 and it’s fantastic!!!
