The Market House has reopened and it is HUGE! The new space takes up the original Market House and the old Disneyana Shop. Much like the Fiddler, Fife and Practical Cafe in Disney California Adventure, the Market House is now a Starbucks featuring Disney-made treats and food.
The new coffee shop is incredibly spacious with a nice selection of treats and snacks and a (small) lovely sitting area toward the back to the right.
I was a huge fan of the old Market House. I have so many fond memories of grabbing a coffee with my dad and enjoying its charming, warm interior. The Cast Members were always lovely in every way and it was always like going home. I do appreciate that upon first glance three things remain the same–the opportunity to play checkers at the checker board, the party lines and the old stove. I am hoping to be back soon so I can investigate more thoroughly. In the meantime, I encourage you to check out this video of the interior and see the Market House for yourself!

I was so surprised at how spacious it is! I was also sad to see a family using the checkerboard as a table … :-/ Oh well.

I really think they are playing checkers, Mindy. 😉

Looks fun, and you know I love Starbucks, but I’ll probably stick with Jolly Holiday for my coffee 🙂

Thanks for this! Just a side note- isn’t the one in DCA called Fiddler, Fifer and Practical? 🙂 -Erin
