Rev your engines because it’s time for family fun in Cars Land!

Last week, I attended a media preview event in which I was able to tour Cars Land and Buena Vista Street. As we approached the construction walls, I was all sorts of nervous. After seeing and hearing so much about Cars Land all these years, would it measure up to my expectations? As I was ushered through an entrance in those illustrious construction walls, there before me was Radiator Springs. As in Radiator Springs right out of the movie…or like I had stepped right into the movie. It was tough to take it all in at once.

Radiator Springs is laid out just like the movie. Route 66 runs through the center of town with the first two buildings toward the entrance being Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree (just where Mater’s located in the movie) and Fillmore’s. And then past them, the structures we’ve seen a hundred times while watching cars with the kids stretched out in front of me.

Flo’s V8 Cafe features food straight from the mother road! Disney Parks imagineers and food gurus toured Route 66 and created a menu based on what they encountered. While I haven’t had any of the food yet, I saw it at the Cars Land premiere last night and it looked amazing.

Radiator Springs Curios which offers a lot of really cute merchandise, but in my opinion, if you are looking for really cool, unique piece of Cars Land and Cars-inspired merchandise, head over to Ramone’s.

I had hoped to make this post a lot longer, but in all honesty, I’m typing on the floor of the Grand Californian and I can hear the first of my troops stirring in their beds, which means it’s time for me to jump into mommy mode. In about 30 minutes, we’ll be heading into Disney California Adventure so that I can share Cars Land with them for the first time. I can’t wait! AH you just left me hanging!!!! I want to see what is in Ramones! Take a picture for me! 🙂 Seriously all this stuff looks so AMAZING! Can’t WAIT WAIT WAIT to see it in person!
