You most likely already know about Disney’s PhotoPass at the Disneyland Resort, but what about Disney’s PhotoPass+ ?
If you’ve been to Disneyland than you’ve seen the photography Cast Members stationed at several locations throughout the parks, like right in front of the castle for instance, and if you’ve stopped for a picture then you were handed a Disney’s PhotoPass card that carries all of your pictures on it (or if you’re like me, you forget to reuse the first one, but end up with about 7 PhotoPass cards by the end of the trip!). All you have to do is go online, enter the ID number from the card, register if you haven’t before, and you can view, edit, and share all of the amazing pictures from your magical visit to Disneyland or Disney’s California Adventure! And it’s free – until you want to own the pictures – and trust me, you will want to. The cost of purchasing the pictures can add up very quickly – check out the product pricing below…
- A free in-hand photograph from your character dining experience
- Unlimited PhotoPass photos in your account
- The ability to customize your photos with fun Disney borders
- Magic Shot photos
- Photos from select dining locations
- Photos from select attractions
- Photos from other Disney experiences
- Your Disney PhotoPass+ card for Photographers to recognize
- Disney PhotoPass+ One Day is $39.00
- Disney PhotoPass+ One Week is $78.00
The best part about it is that you know you will be wanting to keep or purchase your pictures in advance! In other words, you will be prepared to use your PhotoPass+ card as much as you can, and take full advantage of every photography Cast Member and picture location to capture every special moment. And when you have a PhotoPass+ card you do get the full attention of the Cast Member who will go out of their way to make sure you have perfect pictures!
**Now that the Disneyland Resort has their very own official Disneyland App – you can you make even more out of your PhotoPass+! By scrolling to the PhotoPass tab at the top of the screen you can view a list of every Photo Spot or Character Experience in either park, and by clicking on a specific spot you can find which park it’s located in and get the option to find it on a map!
Does this look like something you are interested in for your next vacation? What are your thoughts on the pricing vs. worth?

We leave in 8 days for D-land! We got the Photo + as a gift more than months ago. I have everything for it, but need to know where in the park to redeem my voucher. I have read that it is a photo shop on Main st. Is there a way to activate it in Downtown Disney to get the card before we get into the park?
Lisa Robertson says
Hi Sydney! You can head to the Photo Supply Company on Main Street. It is at the end of Main Street just before you get to the Plaza Inn Restaurant.

It says at selected attractions, what does that mean? Do you get the pictures for all the rides that take your picture? Is there a list of the selected attractions & dinning locatins?
Jessica says
Hi Porche,
Here is the official Disney Photopass Facebook Page – it is the only place I could find a list of the “selected attractions” – but note that it was last updated 3 years ago. It lists Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™, California Screamin’ & Radiator Springs Racers as the Disneyland Resort attractions included. And for dining locations it says PCH Grill, Goofy’s Kitchen, Ariel’s Grotto, & Plaza Inn.
