One of the biggest draws to the Disneyland Resort this time of year is Haunted Mansion Holiday. In mid September each year, the Haunted Mansion goes through a big transformation when the residents of Halloween Town take up residence and the magic and whimsy of Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas comes to life (or death…) in New Orleans Square.

The bright colors and highly-stylized decor of the Nightmare Before Christmas takes over every aspect and angle of the attraction from the inside out.

Although this interview was shot two years ago, the process is still the same and it is pretty incredible to see all of the detail and hard work that goes into bringing the Haunted Mansion Holiday gingerbread house “to life.”
And don’t forget, unlike the rest of the Halloween decorations at the Disneyland Resort, the Haunted Mansion Holiday continues through the holiday season until early January!
That was an interesting nugget of information about next year being the 13th edition of the attraction. It seems like a great excuse for them to add some new bells and whistles to this overlay.
