Feel bad for those big draft horses pulling the street cars up and down Main Street to Central Plaza? Don’t fret. You will be happy to know that Disneyland’s horses have a pretty sweet gig. They work between two and two and a half hours each day, only three days per week. When the horses aren’t in the park, they rest, relax and get pampered backstage at the Circle D Corral. Plus, on top of it all, the horses get two weeks of vacation per year!

How do they end up there? Are they retired from farms or just purchased? The Army caisson horses (used for ceremonies at Arlington Cemetery) are always donated, at the end of their career type thing.. just a random question!
