Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier We Review and Giveaway (CLOSED)

March 31, 2015 in All Posts, babies & toddlers, favorite products, giveaways, motherhood, parenting, pregnant, product review, review, Tips & Tricks for Families, Travel Tips, what to pack by Lisa Robertson

Baby Bjorn giveawayAs many of you know, the first edition of my book was dedicated to my friend Renata. We “baby bjorned” our way through the parks with our babies together. About a year ago, she had a lovely baby girl and when Baby Bjorn approached me asking if we would like to review one of their newer carriers, I jumped at the chance to spread the word about their wonderful products and knew that Renata was the gal to do the review. Without further ado, here is her review and our giveaway!

Baby Bjorn giveawayI have a long history of loving Baby Bjorn. It has been a pivotal part of my parenting experience with each of my three children. When I look up at my taller-than-I-am eleven year old, it hardly seems possible that I spent much of his first year holding him close in a Baby Bjorn Original. As a new mother, I loved the sweetness of holding him close and the convenience of being able to carry him, hands free, while tending to other things that I needed to do. This convenience was a lifesaver again with my second son. I was able to carry him, hands free, while helping my preschooler with his needs. Again, this past year with the arrival of my daughter, the Baby Bjorn was one of the first must-haves on my list.

But, all good things must come to an end. Somewhere around baby’s first birthday, I have to say goodbye to the Baby Bjorn Original. My children get to tall and too big to comfortably fit the size requirements any longer. In fact, my daughter is turning one this month, so I thought it was the end of my time with my Baby Bjorn. However, times have changed. Baby Bjorn has come up with a solution to my problem. Introducing the Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier We.

IMG_4530What makes this product great?

The Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier We takes the wonderful functionality and comfort or the Baby Bjorn Original, and builds additional functions that extend far beyond the first year. The first thing that caught my attention was the extended age range. The Baby Bjorn We is designed to be used for newborn to age three! THREE! It is ready to wear, right from the start, and doesn’t require any additional newborn inserts. The newborn structure is built right in. The carrier transitions perfectly from the infant to toddler stage. With well-padded shoulder straps, and the addition of a waist belt, the weight of a growing baby is easy and comfortably distributed to make using the carrier that much easier.

Another major difference between the Original and the We is the ability to wear a toddler on your back. The directions say that a person can make the transition from front to back while wearing the baby in the carrier. I will tell you I was a little intimidated by this idea. Although the directions gave a clear diagram of the instructions, I still felt a little apprehensive about how to do it by myself. However, I am happy to say that I did just what the instructions said, and I was able to transition my toddler from the front to back position, all on my own. It’s incredibly easy.

Why is the carrier great for trips to Disneyland?

Baby Bjorn GiveawayOne of my favorite ways to use the Baby Bjorn at Disneyland is during entry to the park. Straight from the car, I love to wear the baby in the Baby Bjorn, carry our things in a backpack, and push the stroller empty so I can easily fold it up for the tram. In fact, I wear the baby right onto the tram, making it easier to help load the stroller onboard and assist my other children into their seats. After we get off of the tram, I am able to unload our things into the stroller since it does not have to be folded up again until the end of the day. It is something I can do when I am taking my children to Disneyland on my own and need to get everything into the park without the help of other grown-ups, and is something I do even when I go with other family and friends. The ease of the Baby Bjorn goes beyond entry. I use it throughout the day. I love being able to wear the baby while we wait in line for different attractions or walk through crowded areas.

I am so thankful for the new Baby Bjorn We. I love that I have the comfort and security of my favorite baby carrier with the increased functionality to take this journey from babyhood and beyond.
