Mickey Mouse is more than an icon, he’s every child’s best friend–even if they’ve never met. While not all kids like to take photos with the characters, for those who do want to say cheese with the Big Cheese, a hug from Mickey can be a really big moment.
This week we put out the call for your favorite Mickey pictures on Facebook and Twitter and got some precious photos submitted by Babes In Disneyland readers and contributors. This originally started as a Wordless Wednesday post, and…clearly there’s nothing “wordless” about it!
There are a lot of places to find Mickey at the Disneyland Resort. Because he is the Resort’s most popular resident, he can be found in a variety of places and the listings below feature the main locations he can be found and do not account for special events and performances. The locations below are just the places where guests can get hugs and don’t include shows and parades.
Cindy Espinoza’s daughter loves her Mickey time! She is also pictured in the photo at the top of this post. |
Disney California Adventure is a popular spot for getting a good Mickey hug. He can be found on Buena Vista Street near Elias and Company.
Jack loves hugs from his pal. |
Katelyn and Chelsey were so excited to get their Mickey hug. |
The best part about meeting Mickey on Buena Vista Street is the fact that there is rarely a long wait, so Mickey can take his time with the kiddos. PLUS, he looks so darn cute with his red hat!
I love this reader-submitted hug! Cecilia Bermudez’s son looks very “at home” in Mickey’s arms. |
Over at Disneyland Park, Mickey can be found on Main Street or back at his house in Toontown where he is on the set of his movie barn. He can also often be found back at Big Thunder Ranch during certain special events and celebrations throughout the year. A guest relations Cast Member at the Information Board on Main Street can provide detailed information about where and when Mickey can be found.
to the parks and have loved it. Waiting to get a picture with
Mickey in his movie barn at his house in Toontown provides for
the most “personal” setting and an assurance that you won’t
have any photo bombs along with that hug.
Is there anything better than this hug? Courtney McAllister’s son is so happy in Mickey’s arms. |
Liam loves Mickey, and was happy with a hand hold. |
By the way, how cute is this little Minnie with Mickey?! |
Asher had a great time with his buddy Mickey at the PCH Grill. |
Can’t make into the parks? Mickey attends the daily “Surf’s Up!” character breakfast at Disney’s PCH Grill at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel next to the Disneyland Hotel. This is a great way to get in some quality time with Mickey without having to pay for admission to the Parks (although you do have to pay for breakfast). (Information on the breakfast is available by clicking here.)
And although the picture below isn’t at the Disneyland Resort, I couldn’t help but post this darling picture from long-time reader Heather Aguilar. Her daughter got a precious kiss from Mickey at Disney’s Hawaii resort, Aulani.
Thank you very much to all of the Babes In Disneyland readers who submitted photos for this piece! Your babes are all so precious!
