Turtle Talk with Crush is a fantastical interactive attraction featuring our favorite wave-riding turtle, Crush from the Disney-Pixar film “Finding Nemo.” The attraction is located inside the Animation Building in Hollywood Land in Disney California Adventure.
The adventure begins when a Cast Member enters the animation courtyard and leads the audience into a theater equipped with a magic window into the ocean. Once inside, guests can sit back and enjoy the magic as they have a live, unrehearsed and in-depth chat with Crush. His dialogue and motions are specific to each session and audience members who are selected to chat with Crush are given a microphone that allows the talkative turtle to hear them. Be prepared to learn about the ocean and exchange information about the human world with this totally righteous turtle friend.
Before your visit to the deep blue ocean, keep these tips in mind:
- Little guests can sit in the front row for a great view. For optimum viewing, aim for a seat closer to the center.
- Children with sensory problems may not love this attraction, even if “Findng Nemo” is one of their favorite attractions. My four-year old was less than thrilled with the attraction on a recent visit but when returned to the park, he actually asked to go see Crush again and sat through most of the show.
- If your child is hoping to talk to Crush, help them think of questions they would like to ask him before going into the theater. If he or she is called on, they’ll be happy to have their questions already set.
- This is a great attraction to escape to on hot, rainy or cold days when it is just no fun to be in the elements.
