Today’s Terrific Tip comes from my good friends over at the podcast “Tales from the Mouse House.” I learned the tip below and so much more by listening to their podcast.
Did you know that if you are currently serving on active duty or are a veteran of any branch of the U.S. military you can participate in the Flag Retreat Ceremony at Disneyland? Held daily on Main Street U.S.A., the flag retreat ceremony is an emotionally inspiring event for all to see. Guests that are interested in participating in the event should visit City Hall near the entrance to Disneyland. The ceremony typically lasts 20 minutes and takes place daily around 4:30p.m. (Check the show schedule for the exact time.) The Flag retreat has a live band five days per week, except during summer when Disneyland’s All-American College Band performs, which then provides the Flag Retreat Ceremony live music seven days per week. The Dapper Dans also participate in the ceremony five days per week. (When necessary, the Resort uses a recorded version of this experience for the ceremony.)

I love this! Makes me cry every time I watch it. I love that Disney honors our service men of all generations. Definitely worth seeing or participating in.
