Attraction Height Requirements You Need to Know for Disneyland and DCA!

May 17, 2017 in All Posts, attraction tips, attractions, babies & toddlers, Big Kids, disney california adventure, disneyland, disneyland resort by Lisa Robertson
DCA Attraction Height RequirementsThe most common question we get about Disneyland and Disney California Adventure is about the attraction height requirements. Most Disney Parks guests (or potential guests) know that some attractions have restrictions, but many are surprised to find out that there are a great deal of attractions can accommodate guests of all ages – even newborns. For more information about what rides babies and toddlers can go on at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, click here!

That being said, there are several rides that require a certain height for the rider’s safety. We’ve compiled a handy list of these “E-Ticket” attractions so you can know before you go! It’s always a good idea to check this list so you can measure your kiddos and prepare them beforehand for what attractions they may/may not be able to see this go ’round, and hopefully prevent a few broken little hearts from the disappointment of being not big enough yet.

Here is a complete list of attractions with height requirements at Disneyland and Disneyland California Adventure:

32” or taller
– Luigi’s Rollickin Roadsters+
– Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree+
– Autopia* (must be accompanied by a
guest 52” or taller. Guests 54″ and taller
   may ride alone.)

35″ or taller
– Gadget’s Go Coaster*

– Big Thunder Mountain Railroad*
– Jumpin’ Jellyfish+
– Radiator Springs Racers+
– Soarin’ Over The World+
– Space Mountain*
– Splash Mountain*
– Star Tours*
– Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission
   Breakout+

   swings)
42″ or taller

– Grizzly River Run+
– Goofy’s Sky School +
– Redwood Creek Challenge Trail+ (for the
rock wall and zip line only)

46″ or taller

Disneyland Attraction Height RequirementsAnd while this may look like a lengthy list, it really isn’t!  If your family skipped all of the attractions above and went on everything else in the parks, you still couldn’t see it all! This was Walt’s dream; building a theme park that the a whole family – whatever ages – could enjoy together, so there is definitely something for everyone!

Watch out… I was told my 9 month old in the bjorn was considered standing on the carosel at California adventures so had to ride instead of stand by my 3 year old. We also were told he could not be in the bjorn on the rocketship ride in ca adventure but could sit next to be because that is safer?? We did not ride in fact because my 3 year old would have to have gone by herself since we couldn’t have 3 people on the seat… I’ve never had issues at Disneyland but ca adventures today was bizarre and not much fun with kids.
