Easter and Passover are fast approaching and while chocolate bunnies and jelly beans have their place, this is a great time for the whole family to connect, and what better way to do so than with some fantastic preschool games! Even though these games don’t come out until April, I was lucky enough to receive two BRAND NEW games for my son and daughter to test out so I could give you a full review before you head to the stores.
- The first game we received was the Disney Frozen Matching Game On-the-Go Edition. It’s a classic picture matching game that comes in small, convenient packing so you can take it anywhere. Here’s what Wonder Forge has to say about it: “Flip over brightly colored tiles and find beautiful pictures of sisters Anna and Elsa, plus friends Kristoff, Olaf, Sven and more. What familiar faces will you see? Pick up the most matching pairs to win!” My kid’s LOVE Frozen and so they LOVED this game! They played it for a good half hour without a single squabble, and kept bringing me the tiles to show me the fun pictures on them. We will definitely be playing this game over and over again.
- The second game we received was the Marvel Dominoes Game. This is another classic game with a fun Disney (& Marvel) spin on it thatyour kids will love. My son naturally gravitated toward this one, but my 3 year-old daughter knows all of the Avengers characters too, and although she’s small she could easily match up the characters to make a domino train. Here’s what Wonder Forge has to say: “It’s a superhero twist on classic dominoes, with daring portraits of your favorite Marvel characters to collect and connect!” This game went much faster than the matching game, which is probably to be expected but still it was over in about 5 minutes. Next time we play, I would probably adapt the game to have my kids start with 10 tiles maybe instead of 5, or just divide up the whole stack and have the game end with they have all been played.
Wonder Forge has a few other wonderful NEW games launching in April that preschoolers are sure to love, featuring gorgeous color artwork from Doc McStuffins, Peanuts, and more – there’s truly something for every preschooler on your list. These games are small, portable, and easy to play, I definitely like it when the set up and take down are easy and kids can do it themselves without having to wait for an adult’s help. What’s more is these games promote preschool matching, creativity, and imaginative play with your child’s favorite characters. You will be able to find these games at retailers such as Target, Walmart, and Amazon.com. I give these games two thumbs up!
While I was provided these games for review all thoughts and opinions are my own.
