Merchandise Monday: New Vinylmation Releases and Limited-Time Art Opportunities

Five new Vinylmation figures debuted at D Street in the Downtown Disney District last week! The Park Series #11 Vinylmation, titled Grizzly Peak, California Adventure Park—2001, by Casey Jones, is a 9-inch Vinylmation figure. It has an edition size of 800 and retails for $44.95 plus tax. The Toy Story Mania Vinylmation collection, designed by artists from Tokyo Disney Resort, was also released at D Street. The series includes four 3-inch figures modeled after Andy’s crayon drawings of The Little Green Men, Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear. Each open edition figure retails for $12.95 plus tax. Three more Vinylmation products will be released at D Street this Friday, Nov. 2, including #3 of the Annual Passholder Series and the latest Villains Series release.

It’s the end of the month, and that means there’s only a few days left to snag one of the Artist Sketch of the Month prints for October. These unique sketches, made by talented Disneyland Resort artists, recreate beloved characters, films and attractions. They can be purchased framed or unframed at the Disneyana Shop, The Disney Gallery, Off the Page or WonderGround Gallery. New this month is the Park Icons Collection, which is sold exclusively at The Disney Gallery. Available at the Disneyana Shop is an adorable piece featuring the child versions of Carl and Ellie from the film “UP.”

This sketch is available for $35 at the Disneyana Shop on Main Street in Disneyland Park.

The Artist in Residence at WonderGround Gallery for the month of November is Walt Disney Imagineer Creative Designer Brian Crosby. Through the Artist in Residence program, a different artist calls the gallery home each month as they work on upcoming projects, create live paintings, and hold demonstrations. In addition to his work at Imagineering, he’s appeared as a Special Events Illustrator and his work has been featured at various events at the Disneyland Resort, including his newest piece, “Forbidden Mountain.” Brian Crosby will be on hand for a special live performance every Friday and Saturday, starting this weekend, throughout the month of November (excluding Nov. 30) from 5 to 9 p.m. at WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney District.
