If you’ve ever wondered what life was like for Cinderella after the wedding, or simply cannot get enough of the princess stories- the fairytale continues with Cinderella II: Dreams Come True and Cinderella III: A Twist in Time. The two movie collection is available in a Blu-ray/ DVD Combo pack for the first time and allows viewers the opportunity to revisit some of the most beloved characters from the original movie including: Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, and the adorable mice Gus and Jaq.
Cinderella II: Dreams Come True is comprised of three short stories all with a central theme: be true to yourself and your dreams will come true.
In the first of the three short stories Cinderella is faced with the challenge of planning her first royal banquet. After a series of mishaps in planning according to the rules of Prudence, the royal party planner, Cinderella decides to break with tradition and do things her way.
In the second story Cinderella’s mouse friend Jaq wishes that he was a human in order to be of more help to the princess; and with the help of Fairy Godmother gets his wish. A series of blunders help Jaq to realize who he truly is.
In the third and final story of Cinderella II: Dreams Come True Cinderella plays matchmaker in order to help her Stepsister Anastasia who falls in love with the town baker. After dealing with her own insecurity and her disapproving Mother, Anastasia finds her own voice and follows her heart to make her dreams come true.
Cinderella III: A Twist in Time puts a whole new spin on the original classic by showing viewers what would have happened if the glass slipper didn’t fit Cinderella. Cinderella’s Stepsisters and Evil Stepmother find out and use the power of the magic wand and Fairy Godmother to change the course of events that took place on the night of the ball. Cinderella’s mouse friends Gus and Jaq race against the clock to save the day and save the princess’ happily ever after.
My three year old daughter positively loves both of these movies, so much so that we have watched them multiple times. She’s even started memorizing and singing along to her favorite new song “At the Ball,” sung by Gus and Jaq in Cinderella III.
