The Disney Parks Blog announced today that Halloween Time will return to the Disneyland Resort this year with an extended schedule. This year’s limited time celebration of all things frightful and fun will take place from September 7th through October 31st, allowing guests more days to experience all of the special attraction overlays, food and beverage offerings, merchandise, specially themed decor.
The Halloween Time celebration will once again happily haunt both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park and we’re excited to announce that many of our favorites are returning.
Disney California Adventure Park
Oogie Boogie will once again take over at Disney’s California Adventure Park, literally. His oversized silhouette will greet guests at the as they enter the main entrance of the park and bats will swarm around Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge. Buena Vista Street will also be decorated for the season leading guests to a 10-foot-tall statue of the Headless Horseman.
Guests will also be able to visit Radiator Springs which has been transformed as its residents get into the Haul-O-Ween spirit. Lightning McQueen, Mater, Cruz, Red, and DJ will be in car-stume and available for meet and greets. Two of our favorite attractions Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters will transform into Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween respectively. For the Marvel-loving adventure-seeking guests, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will transform nightly into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.
Disneyland
At Disneyland pumpkins and bright fall buntings will adorn Main Street U.S.A; with the highlight being the giant Mickey Pumpkin whose happy face will greet guests and make for perfect Halloween Time photos. Also returning to Disneyland this year will be Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.
Mickey’s Halloween Party
While there was speculation that Mickey’s Halloween Party might move to Disney’s California Adventure Park this year, the Disney Parks Blog confirmed that our favorite trick-or-treating event will in fact remain at Disneyland and will be held for 15 nights throughout September and October. The spook-tacular celebration is amongst our favorite Disneyland Resort. We love the exclusive treats, character meet and greets, and Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular that can only be seen on Mickey’s Halloween Party nights.
