Gerber Graduates: Easy Go-to Snacks for Families

November 8, 2014 in All Posts, babies & toddlers, Tips & Tricks for Families, Travel Tips by Lisa Robertson

There are certain things I NEVER headed to the Disneyland Resort without when my kids were babies and toddlers–diapers, wipes, sippy cups and Gerber Graduates. For toddlers and preschoolers, Gerber Graduates are meals and snacks in a flash, and all parents know that when kids announce that they’re hungry, they need to eat immediately. Lines for food can be long on busy days and having Gerber Graduates in my bag means I’m able to provide the kids something to eat quickly.

The Gerber Graduates meals are precooked and can be served right out of the package or heated up. The Baby Care Centers at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park both have microwaves to heat up baby food, as well as a sink to drain the liquid in my kids’ favorite ravioli meals. (Although in the absence of a sink, I’ve been known to drain them in a planter.)

The Gerber Graduates snacks are great because they are rarely messy and a great diversion while waiting in long lines or waiting for shows or parades to start. My kids love the Apple Harvest Wagon Wheels and any of the Puffs and personally, I love the fruit yogurt melts. They are delicious. I’m not sure who gets more of them–the boys or me. We still eat these all the time!

I also really love the Yogurt Blends cups. Before we tried them, I was always a little leery of the idea of a yogurt that doesn’t need to be refrigerated, but truth be told, they’re super yummy. They are a great option for traveling families going on long car trips or staying overnight in a hotel and want a snack that isn’t a cracker or cookie. Even now that my kids are older, I still buy them all the time because they are so great on the go. (We also always take them when we go camping!)

I am not working with Gerber on this post. I honestly just think that Gerber makes a really outstanding product that is ideal for trips to the Disneyland Resort!

Great tip! We got back last night from a 5 day trip with a 3 and 1.5 year old and had a few of those just a minute late for food meltdowns! The meals are a great idea!

We love that they make the squeezy fruit pouches now. I always stock up on those for our trips to the parks!

We use these for our picky 6 year old and our 2 year old. Mine love the little spaghetti-o’s and we already have some packed for our trip down on Friday 🙂
