“Frozen: The Songs” CD Review and Giveaway #disneymusic

September 29, 2014 in All Posts, Big Kids, girls, music, princess, review by Babes in Disneyland

There are a lot of Disney moments that I frequently recall in my mind’s eye, and I can honestly say that one such moment is when the credits started to roll at the end of the movie Frozen. It had been quite some time since I had become totally engaged and engrossed in an animated film, but as the lights started to come back up in the Frank G. Wells Theater on the Walt Disney Studios Lot that night, I couldn’t help but think I had just witnessed something very special. And then came the boys’ reactions. They loved it and couldn’t stop talking about it. The long (five-minute) drive home was constant chatter and they were quoting the movie and trying to sing the songs from that moment on.

It’s almost been a year since we saw Frozen and it’s hard to remember life before it came out. My kids watch the movie all the time. We’ve downloaded the incredible Frozen karaoke app, which gets used… a lot. (If you don’t have it, you can download it here.) The DVD is in heavy rotation at our house. It comes along with us on long car trips, frequently gets chosen as the Friday night movie and is a go-to flick when the kids visit my parents.
And starting on September 30, there will be one more piece of Frozen media to add to the mix:  Frozen:The Songs.  This CD features all 10 songs from the Oscar-winning movie, and if your kids are anything like mine they will want it on a loop in the car. In addition to Frozen: The Songs CD, Disney Records is also releasing a vinyl edition and a Spanish language version Frozen Canciones de Una Aventura Congelada, plus the digital score album from composer Christophe Beck.
The specially priced Songs CD also includes a fold-out poster and stickers and includes these songs:

Performed by the cast
2. Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

So it’s like the soundtrack but without the instrumental so you can put the singable songs on “repeat?”
