On April 20, Disneynature will take moviegoers deep into the forests of Africa with “Chimpanzee,” a new True-Life Adventure introducing an adorable young chimp named Oscar and his entertaining approach to life in a remarkable story of family bonds and individual triumph. Oscar’s playful curiosity and zest for discovery showcase the intelligence and ingenuity of some of the most extraordinary personalities in the animal kingdom. Working together, Oscar’s chimpanzee family—including his mom, Isha, and the group’s savvy leader, Freddy — navigates the complex territory of the forest.
My boys and I can’t wait to see Chimpanzee! The True-Life Adventure Films have always been so amazing. Walt Disney had a passion bringing the lessons and beauty of nature to the masses through the True-Life Adventure Films during a time when few thought about society’s impact on the land and environment. Today’s films are just as amazing and as powerful.
In celebration of the film’s release next month, Hollywood Records recently announced that the McClain Sisters (China Anne McClain of A.N.T. FARM, and her sisters Lauryn, and Sierra) are releasing a new song entitled “Rise.” The McClain Sisters wrote and performed the song inspired by Chimpanzee. The song is also now the new theme for Disney Friends for Change.
