It’s so hard to believe that I wrote my original Goofy’s Kitchen review over three years ago. And while so much has changed including my kiddos, the decor, and the character offerings, one thing remains the same–we still love Goofy’s Kitchen!
Goofy’s Kitchen’s unique combination of whimsical decor, fun music, tasty food, and character interactions is ideal for all ages, families, and large groups. Although Goofy’s Kitchen is located at the Disneyland Hotel you do not have to be a hotel guest to dine there. Its close proximity to Downtown Disney’s Monorail Station and neighboring hotels makes it an excellent option for guests who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks while still enjoying the legendary Disney magic and service.
Before being seated, a Goofy’s Kitchen PhotoPass photographer will take a professional picture of your party with Chef Goofy. The photo taken by the Disney PhotoPass Photographer is available for purchase during your meal and comes with a souvenir frame/portfolio to hold the pictures. There is no pressure to buy, although I often do.
Money Saving Tip: The PhotoPass Cast Member will take a photo with your personal camera as well. You’ll get nearly the same photo, which is an excellent way to save a few dollars as well as have additional photos to document your trip.
Goofy’s Kitchen serves both a brunch and dinner buffet. Both sittings feature five unique stations with food offerings that everyone in your party will enjoy.
The selection varies but often includes:
Brunch: omelet bar, biscuits and gravy, a selection of breakfast meats, Mickey Mouse waffles, fruit bar, pastries, and dessert bar.
Dinner: carving station, fruit bar, salad bar, vegetables, roasted chicken, pot stickers, salmon, pizza, and dessert bar.
Kids Options: a must try- peanut butter and jelly pizza, corn, chicken tenders, hot dogs, several pizza options, spaghetti, and macaroni and cheese.
Dessert: cupcakes, mini cheesecake, pies, creme brûlée, cupcakes, soft serve ice cream with toppings, and dessert pizza.
Money Saving Tip: To save money on meal costs skip breakfast (or pack a small snack to eat early in the morning) and make a mid-morning brunch reservation.
One of the biggest perks of dining at Goofy’s Kitchen is the quality time and level of interaction with Goofy and his friends. While guests are dining Minnie Mouse, Chip, Dale, and Pluto circulate throughout the dining room. The characters sign autographs, draw pictures, write notes, dance, and of course, pose for pictures with each table.
Depending on when you dine (brunch or dinner) the price per adult ranges from $30 to $59.99. Children under the age of 3 eat for free!
Money Saving Tip: If you are an Annual Passholder be sure to show your pass at checkout for a discounted rate. (Premium/Signature – 15%; Deluxe, So Cal and So Cal Select – 10%)
Advanced reservations for Goofy’s Kitchen are highly recommended and can be made by calling (714) 781-DINE (3463) or by visiting the Disneyland Resort’s reservation website. Before making a reservation, be sure to read our reservation information about no-show fees.
While I love and appreciate each of the character dining restaurants and the magic they add to my Disneyland Resort visits, Goofy’s Kitchen will always be nearest and dearest to my heart. Over the years I’ve had so many amazing experiences and interactions that Goofy’s has become a “must-do” when planning my Disneyland Resort visits. I hope you’ll find time to schedule brunch or dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen during your next trip to the Disneyland Resort.

Thank you for the tips. As a native Angeleno I have never been to Goofy’s kitchen. I only heard about it within the last year as friends have posted about it within the last year. We are excited to be there on Christmas day for brunch to celebrate my toddler’s birthday.
