For years, my son Brandon has been begging us to buy him the Indiana Jones playset sold at the Disneyland Resort. We were against it because it contains a gun, but as it sometimes happens in parenthood, we gave it to him with the caviat that he can only have it outside in the backyard and not point it at anyone.
Brandon thinks his Indiana Jones attire is so incredibly cool and wishes that he could stare at himself in it for hours. Since he can’t play with it and stare at himself at the same time, one day he opted to play out by our bright white garage door while the sun was beating on it so that he could watch his shadow.
If you are thinking about breaking down and purchasing an Indiana Jones playset for your kiddo, be forewarned, the holster ripped after about 24 hours, which resulted in crocodile-size tears and a trip to the hardware store to purchase brown duct tape to fix it.

My son is obsessed with Indiana Jones.
How much was this dress-up kit? (If you don’t mind me asking.)

I want to say it was about $20. I can’t imagine I would have been willing to pay much more than that! In spite of it breaking, I felt like it was a pretty good deal and comparable to what something of the same quality and amount of pieces would have cost outside the Disneyland Resort.
