5 reasons to experience the Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration

February 9, 2018 in All Posts, other so cal tourist attractions by Lisa Robertson

IMG_9482Looking for something fun to do with the kids this winter? Right now at Knott’s Berry Farm, your family can celebrate all things Charlie Brown and Snoopy at the Knott’s Peanuts Celebration. The event invites guests to step inside the pages of a Charles M. Schulz comic strip as the characters take over the entire theme park for the very first time. This limited-time event takes place on weekends now through February 25, plus President’s day, February 19th.

Here are five fun reasons to head over to Knott’s for the Peanuts Celebration.

New Peanuts Character Experiences

More than ever, Knott’s guests can find Peanuts characters throughout the park – some of which we rarely, if ever have been able to meet in the past.

Adorable Shows

Knott’s Berry Farm has created a number of really great shows throughout the day and evening celebrating all things Peanuts.

The Peanuts Sketch School below was, by far, my kids’ favorite part of the day. Located in the historic Bird Cage Theater, my kids got to learn how to draw Charlie Brown from a knowledgeable animator who even provides guests with historical information on Charles Schultz and the Peanuts characters. When the Sketch School isn’t happening, park guests can watch classic Peanuts cartoons and color Peanuts pictures in the theater.

The Music Goes Round and Round show is adorable. There are benches for seating and areas to stand and its adorable! It’s fun for the entire family.

The Peanuts Cowboy Jamboree is so cute and great for little ones!

There’s lots of fun for wee tikes in Camp Snoopy where with Lucy and Charlie’s Balancing Act in the Camp Snoopy Theater and a special Beagle Bonanza overlay at the Grand Sierra Railroad. At nightfall the Calico Mine Stage transforms into a musical extravaganza as the park presents the first ever Woodstock’s Musical Festival. The musical event features the Peanuts Gang joined by the family-friendly indie band The Jelly of the Month Club, performing a high energy rock concert for the whole family. Guests also uncover hidden fun as they venture into Fiesta Village were Lucy and Sally have taken a journey south of the border. Lucy and Sally’s Fiesta Fantasy has brought lively music, traditional costumes and live performances to the Fiesta Village stage.

Yummy Specially Themed Treats

Knott’s is known for its delicious food, and they’ve really outdone themselves with the amazing treats available during this limited-time event. The hardest part is deciding what to get because it is all so yummy.

Amazing Photo Ops & Décor

Knott’s has really outdone themselves with the photo ops. When you enter the main entrance there are several Instagram-ready photo spots. They are totally genius!

Even if your kids are older, don’t miss out on Camp Snoopy, because the comic strip quotes are hilarious! PLUS, they are perfect for

This one cracked us up! Two years ago, Brandon dressed up as an FBI agent for Halloween in a suit with a badge. Someone gave him rocks in his trick-or-treat bag! We cracked up!
This caption was perfection at the end of the long day and really captured Connor’s mood.

I was a huge fan of the more subtle touches, like the kites stuck up in a trees.
