For a limited time, SoCal residents can purchase special discounted tickets to the Disneyland Resort. These are great deals and allow you to spread out your visits throughout the traditionally less crowded time of year at the resort. Tickets can be purchased through May 14, 2015 and may be used through May 21, 2015. Each Southern California resident may purchase up to five tickets per day and must show proof of residency within the zip codes of 90000-93599 and 21000-22999 for purchase and entry.
The discounts are for multi-day tickets only; there are no discounts for single-day admission. Tickets are for guests ages 3 and older and include:
- 2-day, 1-Park Per Day Tickets for $139
- 2-Day Park Hopper Tickets for $178
- 3-day, 1-Park Per Day Ticket with Magic Morning for $169
- 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket with Magic Morning
- 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket with Magic Morning for $208
1-Park Per Day tickets mean that you cannot hop between parks each day. If you go to Disneyland on one day you cannot go into Disney California Adventure on the same day and visa versa. You will have to save going to the other park for another day. If you want to be able to go between the parks during the same day, you will want to purchase a Park Hopper. As always, mulit-day tickets are nontransferable; the same person must use the same ticket each day. On the first day of use, each guest will write their name on their ticket and a main entrance Cast Member will take a photo of each ticket holder. Whenever that ticket is presented at the turnstiles, their photo will come up, thus making it impossible for someone else to use the ticket.
Magic Morning is a special opportunity to enter Disneyland Park before the park opens to the general public on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday and enjoy select attractions before it gets crowded. The 3-Day tickets with Magic Morning must be purchased ahead of time by clicking here. Each Guest must have valid theme park admission. We highly recommend that families arrive at least one hour and 15 minutes prior to regular park opening to get the most out of Magic Morning. Magic Morning admission is based on availability and capacity and it is very important that you check the resort’s hours of operation to confirm Magic Morning has not been cancelled and so you know what time to be there.
All tickets are available online or at the main entrance ticket booths. As mentioned above, Magic Morning is only available if purchased ahead of time online. (Click here to purchase tickets online.) Tickets are also available at the Disney Desk and many of the resort area Good Neighbor Hotels. (Like one of our favorite Good Neighbor Hotels, Embassy Suites South – Anaheim.) If you will be staying at a Good Neighbor hotel near the Disneyland Resort, we recommend contacting them ahead of time to make sure they have the tickets.
These tickets are not valid March 20 through April 4, 2015. Last day of use is May 21, 2015.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment below and we will be certain to update this post as needed throughout the course of the discount.

Briget says
My sister, niece & nephew are going with us in May but are not So Cal residents. Can I purchase their tickets at the discounted rate too or is residency checked upon entry?
Rudy says
And these tickets are purchased at disneyland resort or ?
Lisa Robertson says
Tickets can be purchased at the main entrance or online. The link is in the post.
Jacquie says
is there a typo in the year? According to the message we will only have until May 21st of this year to use the ticket? So if we purchase the ticket now, it expires May 21,2015?
Lisa Robertson says
Hi Jacquie! You can purchase the tickets through May 14 and use them through May 21. I bolded the text in the first paragraph so it stands out better. 😉
Anita says
Can we use the purchase of the California resident ticket towards an annual pass?
Lisa Robertson says
Yes you can apply a So Cal resident ticket to an annual pass.
NT says
Hi, we are looking to go to Disneyland as a family of 6 for the first time this spring! Two questions: can Southern California friends of ours purchase tickets for us that we use? Second question, I thought I heard that there were spring break blackout dates for the so cal tickets, but you just mention using them through May 21? Thanks
Lisa Robertson says
So Cal resident tickets are intended to be used by So Cal residents. Will a resident be going with you into the parks that day? As for the blackout dates, they are listed in the post in bold.
samantha says
Hi Lisa,
I noticed someone asked about applying a Socal resident pass towards an annual pass. How do I go about doing that?
Lisa Robertson says
You can do it at the ticket booths. It will start the same day and the cost of the ticket would be deducted from the cost of the annual pass.

I have friends that are moving to CA from Washington during this promo. They wanted to take advantage of the deal when they get here. What proof of residency can they show since they will be new residents? Rental agreement? It will be too soon to get license, utility bill, etc.
Lisa Robertson says
Wow. That’s a great question, Jennifer. They just need to have something with their name on it and their new address. Usually, that would be a utility bill, etc. Because this is such a unique situation, I would recommend calling Disneyland. It would be better to have something worked out with them ahead of time.
samantha says
Thanks Lisa, we just ended up ordering annual select online last night. We were planning on getting that one anyway but didn’t know about the upcoming price change, so thanks for posting that! One last question, my husband and I each got a pass, but our daughter is still 2 until May so we didn’t get her one. Are they super strict about showing proof of age for toddlers?
Visiting Scholar says
Hi, I’m visiting scholar and I live in Los Angeles.
I want to buy ticket taking advantage of living in california but I don’t have california ID.
Is there other way of proving residence than ID?
Lisa Robertson says
Hi there. If you have photo identification and some sort of utility bill with your name on it showing the So Cal address you are living at while you are in L.A., you should be OK.
