Leaving Disneyland is sad — we all know that. Even if your feet hurt, your kids are asleep, and your wallet is a bit lighter, leaving the magic behind stings a little. When real, post Disney vay-cay life begins, it is easy to day dream right back to the happiest place. If you’re anything like me, you may also find yourself day dreaming on your lunch break, wishing you could return for just one more bite of (insert favorite Disney food here). With the help of our Facebook followers, and my grumbling stomach, here are the top five most craved Disneyland food items:
1. Dole Whip
Enough said? This creamy soft serve pineapple treat is a life saver on hot summer days and a tropical escape on cold winter nights. And tastes great! Though the line for the small station (located right outside Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room) usually snakes its way through Adventureland and can seem a little long, I have NEVER heard anyone complain about the wait. Whether your favorite is the original whip or the Dole float (whip plus pineapple juice), there’s no doubt that these tiny tropical treats are craved from home.
2. Churros
Can you smell the cinnamon deliciousness as you read this? Me too. There’s really no way to fully experience a day at Disneyland without treating yourself to a churro (or at least see someone eating one as you think “Oooh churro…”). The smell surrounds us every time we walk by a churro card or stand. In fact, that “Disneyland smell” that happens as you first enter the park would not be the same without churros’ contribution. If you weren’t craving one already, I’m sure you are now.
3. Disneyland Coffee
Again, can you smell the goodness? Disney coffee has to have actual magic inside of it. I’m sure of it. Somehow or another, Disney has figured out how to infuse their coffee with pixie dust or some of the magic that Mickey uses to fight evil in Fantasmic!. There are so many places and ways to get coffee at Disneyland, including flavored drip coffee at Market House and espresso and blended drinks at Jolly Holiday Bakery. The good news about this at-home craving is that you can bring the magic home! Well, at least some of the magic. Many merchandise locations sell Disney Blend (yes, it is the same as the regular brew at Market House) coffee grounds, as well as a selection of flavors that are not brewed in the park. I especially love the Holiday Cheer that comes out during the Christmas season!

4. Club 33’s Chateaubriand
If you’ve ever had the chance to dine at Disneyland’s exclusive Club 33, you probably tried the Chateaubriand. If you have not yet experienced it and ever get the chance to visit the club, you’ll want to try it. This wonderful filet mignon is as rich in flavor as Disneyland is rich in Disney traditions. The fabulous filet, served for lunch or dinner, melts in your mouth. If you can’t stand your Chateaubriand cravings, turn your own dining room into your own exclusive club and make it yourself! 5. Monte Cristo
Let me be honest for a moment. For a while, I really did not like the idea of the Monte Cristo and had no desire to try it. Though I love fried foods, the thought of ham, turkey, cheese, sweet batter, and blackberry preserves was not something that sounded appetizing to me. After trying it for the first time, I had no problem admitting my mistake. This sandwich is uh-mazing. This savory and sweet sandwich is like having lunch and dessert all at once, and is a definite craving of mine. Make it at home by clicking here!
