The silhouette that started it all – this silhouette was made on a trip my parents took to celebrate their first anniversary.

Somewhat later, I came along and my love affair with Disney began when my parents starting bringing me to the parks – I think I was about two years old here, it wasn’t my first visit – I am told – but I love having this keepsake. (Notice how the border art changed between these two silhouettes, but has remained the same since)
The silhouette tradition continued when my husband and I had our silhouette made on our honeymoon. (I love how the silhouette’s say which park you visited!)

This is such a great Throwback Thursday post, Jessica! Love seeing these silhouettes!

I’ve always wanted to do these, but where do you put them after they’re done? Do you hang them up somewhere fun in your home? Just curious!

Hey Katie – You get two, so either give one to the grandparents or tuck it away with keepsakes. My honeymoon silhouette is framed and currently sitting on my mantle with a collection of other items – but the rest of the time it’s hanging on my bedroom wall. My intention is to get a silhouette done of both of my kids, and hang them either in their hallway, bathroom, or next to each of their doors – lots of options for those!
