For many Disneyland Resort guests, a new found favorite has been the spirited celebration in Disney California Adventure called Disney ¡Viva Navidad! at Paradise Gardens. This culminates with the celebration of Three Kings Day Friday, January 2 through Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in the same area. In addition to Disney ¡Viva Navidad!, the Three Kings Day celebration offers new treats and experiences for guests to enjoy.
A special addition this year is The Spirit of Navidad. This is a musical storytelling of the traditions of Three Kings Day by two talented musicians. The storytellers tell the story in an interactive way where kids (and the kids at heart) can help tell the story of the three kings journey following the star, and the traditions that have now sprung from that journey. Guests can help tell the story by first decorating their own personal crowns and then joining in with the musicians to sing and dance to some classic holiday tunes.
Learn more about Three Kings Day:
The Spirit of Navidad is accompanied by traditional holiday food, most notably the Rosca de Reyes bread which is a traditional treat for Three Kings Day. For those looking to warm up from the weather, the Paradise Gardens are also offering pozole, champurrado, sweet tamales, and bunuelos as well.
The area is filled with other fun holiday offerings as well. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and the Three Caballeros are on hand for pictures. There will be musical and performance groups performing in the area throughout the Three Kings Day celebration as well on the Paradise Gardens Bandstand.
With food, festivities, entertainment, crafts, and some favorite Disney friends;Three Kings Day has a little bit of something for everyone. It is rich in tradition and the Disneyland Resort is offering a fun way for the family to experience during this celebration.
