Shortly after Disney California Adventure Park opened, I posted about the mailboxes in my new favorite spot to sit and people watch. (Click here for the article.) Located on Buena Vista Street is an apartment building facade with a covered porch area and stairs perfect for watching guests as they enter the park. The building features mailboxes for the building’s residents. After researching the names, I was able to come up with the origins of three out of the four names on the boxes. (And we have gotten confirmation that these are correct.)

The fourth name, S. Yoshiwara, was a mystery. That is until the Babes In Disneyland Investigative Team (aka Randy Crane and me) set out on a mission to find out who the mystery mailbox “belonged” to. Together we asked some of the biggest Disney experts around. And when I say big, I mean BIG! No one knew the answer. But Randy, being the Disney sleuth and brain that he is, dug deeper and got the answer. And not just a simple answer, but an official answer that has been verified by Walt Disney Imagineering.
