In the hopes of getting the most out of your day, it’s easy push yourself and the kids to see and do too much too quickly at the Disneyland Resort. While a methodical approach to the day is great, rushing from one place to the next can result in missing out in some of the simple, happy moments that tend to pop up during Disneyland visits and quickly tire out the kids.
That being said, do not over plan your day; it’s important to find a happy medium between timing your day down to the minute and flying by the seat of your pants. Since it’s impossible to do everything in one day, select the things that will make the day the most memorable for your children. If the kids are kept interested and engaged, you’ll be happier, they’ll be happier and together you’ll create some amazing memories.
While in the parks, you aren’t alone in your efforts to navigate the parks. In addition to a variety of smart phone apps, maps and guides, the Disneyland Guest Relations Cast Members at the information boards in Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland can provide current attraction wait times, where to find the characters and variety and tips and tricks for making the day memorable.

Our first time with the kids, it took one day to figure out four hours in the park was our max. We went back to the hotel, napped, had dinner, went back in the evening. After that first day we planned the other 3 knowing we’d be taking a break from the park no later than 2PM, and it was smooth sailing!
