A Star Wars Takeover is coming to Club Penguin on July 25! I repeat, Star Wars + Club Penguin! Lock down your internet connection, because if your kids are Penguin fans, they may very well give your modem a heart attack.
If you’re kids aren’t playing Club Penguin yet, I encourage you to read my post on it by clicking here. It features everything you need to know and if you have more questions, please leave them in the comment section and I will do a follow-up post soon to address them. In the meantime, I encourage you to check out this video so you can see how stinkin’ cute those darn penguins are!
And now…a couple words to my friends at Disney Interactive:
Dear Club Penguin,
This morning I received an email from you letting me know about the Star Wars Takeover is coming to your awesome site. You know my kids love you. As it is, they often set their alarm to get up before 5a.m. so that they can get computer time in your chilly world before my husband and I get up. They’ve been known to get up as early as 3:30a.m. for extra computer time.
When the Star Wars Takeover happens on Club Penguin July 25, I fear the our lives might never be the same (or at least not the same until the takeover ends). You see, given the fact that my boys LOVE Club Penguin and also LOVE Star Wars (one of their penguins is named after a Star Wars character), this takeover is the perfect storm for them and I fear I may not see my laptop…ever again. I fear they may not sleep…ever again. I fear I may not hear the end of Star Wars meets Club Penguin…ever again.
Let’s face it. My kids obsessed over the Marvel Takeover and became completely consumed by the Monsters University party. I listened for HOURS about the costumes they were buying, games they played and much more. This Star Wars Takeover may actually turn my children into penguins. I love you but why must you guys be so darn smart and creative?
Keep up the good work and thank you for making such a fun place and safe place online.
Love,
The Babes In Disneyland Mommy

BTW, if you are really worried about your kids getting on too early, we have this handy parental tool….

You can set time of day they can play or total hours.

Hi Spike! Thanks for the recommendation for the tool! I had no idea there was such a thing! 🙂 I’ll keep letting them play until they start to waddle. 😉
