Whether your vacation budget calls for you to save, allows you to splurge, or maybe some of both – here are the best places in California Adventure to find what you’re looking for at breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Now this isn’t a post for guests who like to bring their food from home–this is for those who want to buy but want to know their options. Here we go!
Breakfast SAVE: Flo’s V8 Cafe. Mmm, scrambled eggs with bacon and potatoes, a breakfast chicken tamale, or brioche french toast with salted caramel sauce – so tasty and comparably priced to a breakfast you might eat out elsewhere. The adult-sized breakfasts are big enough for two kids to share.
Breakfast SPLURGE: Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe. This is the DCA equivalent to Disneyland’s Jolly Holiday Bakery with all the delicious baked goods – except this place has breakfast sandwiches and – are you ready for it – Starbucks coffee and beverages! This might seem turned around – shouldn’t a coffee joint be the way to save? Not if you get a breakfast and a pastry and a coffee! (Which is what I would do if I were splurging!)Lunch SAVE: Paradise Garden Grill. Now this one is only a save if you are able to share it, but the Mediterranean skewer plate come with quite a bit of food: a large meat or vegetarian skewer, cucumber salad, a large piece of pita, and rice pilaf. The grilled steak and tzatziki are my personal favorite combo, but one of the nice things is that you can ask for more than one sauce, which is good if you are sharing and have different tastes. The Greek Salad is pretty decent, too. This location is great for the amount of seating and shade.
Dinner SAVE: Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta. Located next to the Paradise Garden Grill, this restaurant is actually less expensive, but it’s so yummy won’t want to share. I can recommend their Chicken Sundried Tomato Pasta, but their pizzas and salads look and smell amazing and get great reviews from guests as well.![]() |

Snack SAVE: Churro carts: For less than $4, it’s the yummiest snack you’ll find around. But, if you’re looking for something a little different try the Cozy Cone and their crazy flavors of popcorn, like dill pickle!
Snack SPLURGE: Ghirardelli Soda Fountain. Seriously, anything in this place will put you in a chocolate coma – and I mean that in a very, very good way. It is definitely a splurge you want to make. (Bonus: You get a free Ghirardelli square just for walking in!)

Great comparisons & suggestions Jessica! The pizzas at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta is one of my favorite saves!
