Disclosure: I received a Hygeia Evolve Breast Pump for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.
If you are a Disneyland mama who has chosen to breastfeed or exclusively pump breastmilk for your little babe, it can be daunting to think about bringing your hospital-grade breast pump on your next visit to The Disneyland Resort.
We are so lucky that Disneyland is such a great destination for moms with their dedicated Baby Care Centers, which offers great resources for all your nursing, pumping, and diaper changing needs. But, while Disneyland will store your breast pump so you don’t have to carry it around all day, I still didn’t like the idea of having to pack my giant pump and all the parts to bring directly to the Baby Care Center. I don’t have the luxury of having those wearable breast pumps (which can be very expensive to purchase) and I wanted to find a more portable option in case I needed to pump “on-the-go”. Solution? The Hygeia Evolve breast pump!
I was really excited to try out the Hygeia Evolve, which is a hospital strength breast pump, cordless (yep, you read that right), and fits in the palm of your hand. The pump comes with a full-service Hygeia Baby app that offers tips on breastfeeding, baby tracking, and even has no cost virtual breastfeeding consultations with lactation experts for eligible moms.
To give you an idea of its size, I took a side-by-side of the Hygeia with my existing Spectra S2 breast pump.
I decided to pack the Hygeia Evolve for my recent visit to The Disneyland Resort (my first visit since the reopening). Because of its lightweight design and ability to run without the power cord, I charged the battery in full and left the cord at home. I have to say that this breast pump is definitely small but mighty and it worked like a dream while at the Parks. I was able to fit everything (the pump, all the pump parts, two bottles, small ice packs) into my pump carrying kit, which fit inside my backpack. It wasn’t heavy and it was great not having to bring a cord with me as well.
Even though it was running on a battery, I thought that the breast pump was strong and efficient (with separate speed and strength controls) and it was quiet as well. My only gripe would be the power button – you do have to press it down for a quite a long time to turn the machine off, but otherwise I was really pleased with my experience.
If you’re looking for a lightweight, portable, and cordless option for your breast pump, the Hygeia Evolve is supported by many insurance carriers and offers a new alternative to the different breast pumps that are out on the market now. This is a great option to have as your primary breast pump or as a backup, especially for all these Disneyland mamas. To learn more visit www.hygeiahealth.com.

The reason for require long press power button to power down the machine is to prevent any accidental short pushing and power down the machine while Mom was in the middle of pumping or doing any setup adjustment.
It is like your iPhone needs a long press to power button to power down it. Apple designed this way to avoid any accidentally short pushed button power button and turn off the phone while you are talking to someone.
