The Disneyland Resort has always been at the forefront ofmaking family travel easier since Disneyland opened in 1955. Walt Disney wanted to create a safe theme park experience the entire family could enjoy together and since then, Disney has led the way in finding ways to make family time a happy time for all who travel to its parks and resorts. As part of those ongoing efforts, the Disneyland Resort has released a new planning and resource guide for guests with cognitive disabilities (including Autism Spectrum Disorders). Developed with a large autism advocacy group over the course of a year, the new guide provides family’s with tips and advice on navigating the Disneyland Resort with a guest who has a cognitive disability. It provides insight on what to expect every step of the way, as well as specifics on every attraction in the two parks.

It can also be downloaded by clicking here so that it can be printed ahead of time. Guests can also go to this link from their web-enabled mobile device so that they can refer to it electronically throughout their visit.

Thank you for this. I already have the WDW one because I’m an East Coast mama, but hubby is talking about doing DL next year. It will be my 3rd time, but first with our son who is ASD.
By the way, are the hard copies free, by chance?
