Monday Must Have: Kokopax Samantha Diaper Tote Review & Giveaway

Today I am happy to review the Samantha Kokopax tote bag for today’s Monday Must Have.  Kokopax is a young, fast growing company, created by a mom of four from Nevada.  On a trip to the Northwest, she came across some beautiful fabric patterns that inspired her to think of ways she could combine modern fabrics with the simple functionality of the older baby carriers. With that idea in mind, she embarked on a mission to develop a stylish, modern and lightweight framed infant carrier that could be used every day, everywhere.  With the success of the carriers (which look totally fabulous, I might add), she added fun accessories to coordinate with the carriers. 
 

I am totally in love with my new diaper bag by Kokopax and I am excited to name it a Babes In Disneyland Must Have.  Remember when diaper bags were big plastic carryalls covered in hearts, teddy bears, and ducks?  Cute?  Maybe for baby, not…ummm…babies don’t carry diaper bags and mommies do.  With my first two babies I had plain black bags.  They were a step up from the traditional “cutsie” bags, but now, I happily carry the Kokopax Samantha bag.  The tote is designed to be practical yet fashionable.  I love that it’s a diaper bag I’m proud and happy to carry.

What makes the Kokopax Tote great?

The Kokopax bag is a carry-all for the on-the-go mom.  It’s big, roomy, and stylish.  It has plenty of room for diapers, wallet, and the abundance of toys I seem to always have on the ready.  It is made from 100% cotton canvas with a custom-designed water-resistant lining, durable webbing, and leather accents.  On a trip to the Apple store, I was able to carry my laptop along with all of the other stuff I tote along for three children.


Why is the Kokopax great for trips to Disneyland?

  • The Kokopax is really roomy.  It can fit a lot of stuff–diapers, wipes, clothes, and toys.  It has one big zippered pocket for things like keys, wallet, and other items you need to keep secure.  It also has three diaper size pockets and one for a baby bottle.  I use them to store diapers, wipes, and ziplocks with extra clothes for the baby. 
  • The Kokopax comes with a very soft changing pad, which is very handy now that the Disneyland Resort has removed the heavy paper towels from its changing stations in the restrooms.  
  • It’s easy to access the Kokopax; there’s no zipper to fiddle with when you need a diaper fast.  It has an easy magnet closure.  
  • The tote is really lightweight, which I adore.

    Hi Lisa – These are great looking bags! I can’t tell you how long I’ve been looking for a nice diaper bag and settled on a cheepy (but will do the trick) from Walmart – Yikes!

    LOVE the “Bubbles Take Two” and “Flutter” – but all are beautiful!

    My Disneyland MUST haves are my Peg Perego Aria stroller, the foogo kiddie thermos, and lots of ziploc bags – great for storing lunch leftovers, collecting trash, keeping cameras dry, and packing wet or otherwise disgusting clothing out of the park without it having to touch anything else!

    When I go to the Disney Parks (we go to Florida). I love to take my son’s Foogo Thermos cup to keep his drink cold, and we cloth diaper so I need a big bag like this one to hold all of his stuff.

    My favorite must have is my little brown Maclaren stroller. My son is almost 3 1/2 right now, so I know we won’t be bringing it for too much longer. I am going to miss it!

    It has been a few years since I took my kids to Disney, but they were all teens. Our must haves were cell phones to keep in touch if the kids wanted to do something different than us.

    I cannot live without my Ergo baby carrier at D-land. There’s no other way we could get around easily without it with our two small children. A double is too much to push around at the park plus it’s a hassle to get on and off the tram (incl getting from the parking structure to the tram).

    My daughter’s name is Samantha, so I think this tote is a must-have! 😉 I follow publicly, and I went to the Kokopax website. I love the Watson pattern, with the Flutter pattern a close second!

    I still think entertainment in the lines in the parks. When I took teenagers, it was hard to wait in line, so I can’t imagine when I take my toddler grandson.

    I would take the usuals with us as I listed on the other question. : ) My diaper bag (hopefully this one!) is always filled with things in case of emergency or to entertain in a line. Disney makes waiting in line fun too.
