LEGO Star Wars Days has returned to LEGOLAND Florida. My family had the pleasure of visiting on opening day and loved every single minute of our trip. LEGO Star Wars Days is the first three weekends of May is filled with fun activities and experiences created to celebrate the Star Wars franchise that we love.
Highlights of LEGO Stars Wars Days at LEGOLAND Florida
The LEGOLAND team thought of everything! Right from the start, guests ARE greeted at the gates by Stormtroopers and Jedi. Throughout the park, you can find character meet and greets and character photo ops with both regular and LEGO versions of your favorite Star Wars characters.
Exclusive Star Wars-themed snacks and treats are offered for a limited time just during this special celebration and include “Light Sword Churros” and “Blue Rey-Berry Ice Cream.” You can also relax and enjoy the indoor entertainment offerings that include live shows and episodes of LEGO Star Wars Droid Tales.
And let’s not forget about the LEGOs! It was beyond impressive to see so many beloved Star Wars characters and scenes brought to life in model form. On May the 4th, LEGOLAND unveiled the brand-new Star Wars: The Force Awakens MINILAND Model Display. It is the newest addition to the incredible LEGO Star Wars area. The elaborate new display features many favorite moments from Episode VII.
I was impressed with the way the scenes were enhanced with lights and sounds and so many details that brought the scenes to life. The display captured the scenes that took place on Jakku, and it featured our favorite new characters such as Rey, Finn, Poe, BB-8, and, of course, Kylo Ren. The new Star Wars: The Force Awakens display is a seamless addition to its already popular LEGO Star Wars area of MINILAND USA.
Make the most of your visit to LEGOLAND Florida’s LEGO Star Wars Day
LEGO Star Wars Days is great for LEGO and Star Wars fans of all ages. My 14-, 10-, and 4-year-old children are all LEGO and Star Wars fans, and my husband is a life-long fan as well. I appreciated the way that each one of them loved the LEGO Star Wars magic that the park had to offer in their own way.
Tip: Be sure to pick up the black event guide! It was jam-packed with Star Wars happenings taking place throughout the park. The event guide, coordinated with the LEGOLAND park map, makes it easy to coordinate show times, photo ops, and fun events like the LEGO Lightsaber Scavenger Hunt and the Galaxy Competition Build.
Dressing up as your favorite Star Wars character is encouraged. Up to 200 guests per day dressed as LEGO Star Wars characters may even win a LEGO prize! It was incredible to see so many different costumes. My 4-year old wore her Rey costume and posed for a picture with the LEGO version of her favorite character.
If you have a Star Wars fan or two in your family, I highly recommend visiting very soon. LEGOLAND Star Wars Days takes place during the first three weekends in May: May 5-6, 12-13, and 19-20, 2018.
